Spain. The Basque Country. Sometime in the 90s. Josu Jon, a young member of a terrorist organization, has suffered an almost complete memory loss after being wounded in a shooting with the Spanish police. As he awaits for his trial, his condition is treated in the prison hospital. Other inmates belonging to the same organization try to make him remember how brave a gudari -a Basque soldier- he is and how he must join back the armed fight as soon as he gets out of prison. Meanwhile, Xabier, a college professor who has been death threatened for his political views on the Basque situation, is having an affair with one of his students, Francesca, who -as a young psychologist- happens to end up helping Josu Jon recover his memory. Awarm feeling of mutual affection grows between her and her patient. At a point, there doesn't seem to be clear whether Josu Jon really wants to recover his memory or whether he'd rather forget forever who he actually is.

Mia is going to ask for a job as a photographer at Vic' studio the same day his girlfriend Ana leaves him. Vic proposes Mia to take his job because he has decided to go away for “one thousand days”. Circuit tells the stories of love and lack of affection, in concentric circles of space and time, of different characters which take place in an occidental city in the 21st century, during these thousand days.
