Think Tank is the seventh studio album by the English rock band Blur, released in May 2003. Continuing the jam-based studio constructions of the group's previous album, 13 (1999), the album expanded on the use of sampled rhythm loops and brooding, heavy electronic sounds.

Blur: The Best Of is a greatest hits compilation album by English Britpop band Blur, first released in late 2000 and is the final Blur album by Food Records. It was released on CD, cassette tape, MiniDisc, double 12" vinyl record, DVD and VHS.

Blur have announced that they will release 'The Magic Whip', their first album in 12 years, on April 27.
The band – Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree – made the announcement at press conference hosted by outgoing BBC Radio 1 presenter Zane Lowe at Chinese restaurant The Golden Phoenix in London's West End, which is ongoing at present.
The album's producer, Stephen Street, also attended.
Blur recorded an album's worth of material in five days in Hong Kong in May 2013.
However, in an interview published by NME in July 2014, Damon Albarn said that because he likes to work in shorter, more concentrated periods of time he feared that he would never return to the tracks the band made while in Asia.
"There are about 15 songs we recorded in Hong Kong," he said at the time. "The annoying thing is, if I'd been able to write the lyrics there and then about being there, we'd have finished the record. But sometimes, if you can't do it all at once, it dissipates really and I don't know what I'd sing about now with that record. There's some great tunes on there, but it may just be one of those records that never comes out."

13 is the sixth studio album by English alternative rock band Blur, released on 15 March 1999. Continuing the stylistic shift away from the Britpop sound of the band's early career, 13 explores experimental, psychedelic and electronic music. Recording took place from June to October 1998 in London and Reykjavík.

Nevermind is the second studio album and major-label debut by American rock band Nirvana, released on September 24, 1991 by DGC Records. It was Nirvana's first release to feature drummer Dave Grohl. Produced by Butch Vig, Nevermind features a more polished, radio-friendly sound than the band's prior work. It was recorded at Sound City Studios in Van Nuys, California, and Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin, in May and June 1991, and mastered that August at the Mastering Lab in Hollywood, California.

Written primarily by frontman Kurt Cobain, Nevermind is noted for channeling a range of emotions, being noted as dark, humorous, and disturbing. Its themes include alienation, frustration, anti-establishment and anti-sexist views, and troubled love inspired by Cobain's broken relationship with Bikini Kill's Tobi Vail. Contrary to the hedonistic themes popular in rock music at the time, writers have observed that Nevermind promoted the image of the sensitive artist in mainstream rock. According to Cobain, the sound of the album was influenced by bands such as Pixies, R.E.M., the Smithereens, and Melvins. Though the album is considered a cornerstone of the grunge genre, it is noted for its musical diversity, which includes acoustic ballads ("Polly" and "Something in the Way") and punk-influenced hard rock ("Territorial Pissings" and "Stay Away").

Nevermind became an unexpected critical and commercial success, reaching the top 10 on charts across the world. On January 11, 1992, it replaced Michael Jackson's Dangerous at the number one spot of the US Billboard 200 and was selling approximately 300,000 copies a week. The lead single, "Smells Like Teen Spirit", reached the Top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100 and went on to be inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Its music video was also heavily rotated on MTV. Three other successful singles were released: "Come as You Are", "Lithium", and "In Bloom". The album was voted the best album of the year in Pazz & Jop critics' poll, while "Smells Like Teen Spirit" also topped the single-of-the-year and video-of-the-year polls. The album also garnered the band three Grammy Award nominations in total across the 34th and 35th Grammy Awards, including Best Alternative Music Album.

Nevermind propelled Nirvana into worldwide superstardom, with Cobain being dubbed the "voice of his generation". It brought grunge and alternative rock to a mainstream audience while accelerating the decline of hair metal, drawing similarities to the early 1960s British Invasion of American popular music. It is also often credited with initiating a resurgence of interest in punk culture among teenagers and young adults of Generation X. It has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide, making it one of the best-selling albums of all time. In 2024, it was certified 13× platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Among the most acclaimed and influential albums in the history of music, Nevermind was added by the Library of Congress to the National Recording Registry in 2004 for being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant", and is frequently ranked highly on lists of the greatest albums of all time, including being ranked number six on Rolling Stone's 2020 and 2023 lists of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time". The album has since been reissued with alternate takes and live performances.

Pink Floyd 的 The Wall 也许是音乐史上极具迷惑力和富想象力的专辑。The Wall 录制于1979年，联合艺术家电影公司在1982年拍摄了这张专辑的同步电影 The Wall。
故事是围绕着一个虚构的，将一位名为 Pink Floyd 歌星的孤独比喻成一堵精神上的墙这个故事所展开的，而墙是由他在人生各个阶段所产生的，而且无法排斥的一种精神失落，它不以个人意志为转移并随他的人生成长也日益增长演化发展而成的。专辑的开篇便是通过邀请无意识的观众进入 Pink 的演出（In The Flesh?）而展开的，刚一出世 Pink 就面对着如履薄冰的人生（The Thin Ice），然后转回到孩提时代对在二战中阵亡的父亲的回忆（Another Brick In The Wall [Part 1]），上学后又不得不面对填鸭式的刻板教育制度的伤害（The Happiest Days Of Our Lives 以及 Another Brick In The Wall pt. 2）；回到家中他的母亲又对其的过分看护而使其感受不到任何家庭的温暖（Mother），他不由得自问「我该相信政府吗？他们会把我送上火线吗？我该修建一堵墙吗?」；但在甜言蜜语的回答中，他看到的却是这个世界依旧充斥着漫天而降的炸弹和奔向掩体的平民（Goodbye Blue Sky）；他迷惑了，不知何去何从（Empty Spaces）；于是他自甘堕落下去，在他对性的憧憬和渴望中（Young Lust）高喊到「I need a dirty girl」；然而在现实无奈的空虚中，只能假装一切都好，但日复一日，爱变得灰暗，他却变老并得不到任何快乐（One Of My Turns）；他感到的只是剃刀般的冰冷和葬礼的鼓声，以及对女友离去后所发出的凄惨的哀鸣（Don't Leave Me Now）；此时的 Pink 已经完全绝望，他已不再相信任何人，他觉得他就象一块墙上的砖头被强行禁锢在其中迷失了自我（Another Brick In The Wall pt. 3）；最后，在他结束曲（Goodbye Cruel World）中彻底将自己和周围的世界隔离开而结束了第一盘的内容，而此时，Pink 已完全建立起来的自我封闭的墙，它表明他已深深地陷入精神失落的旋涡里。
