这就是典型的提出问题比解决问题更重要的纪录片。而影片的史料价值在国内更加凸显。海报的总结其实还不够到位，中国是既说不出，又看不见。但最终的结果看，蒙住了眼睛的情况下，美国人说话的能力反而成了掣肘之处。作者在最后在反思民主自由的时候更加表现出了对中国体制崛起的担忧。但没办法，“给你机会，你不中用啊”。

能看出来冯小刚其实是个特别鸡逼的人。在刚刚发迹的时候夹着尾巴做人只是一种自我保护方式，打心眼儿里他瞧不上所有跟他一起开会的人。后来真成了腕儿，也就脱掉了低姿态的伪装，逐渐暴露出了本性。这么说不是贬低他，以冯小刚的才情在21世纪初几年的环境，他完全有资格这么做。
