Derek Vineyard is paroled after serving 3 years in prison for killing two African-American men. 也许是我期待太高，最多算是西部片借尸还魂。动作的风格化比《杀死比尔》差得远，唯一称得上亮点的就是野马喻体的具象化。反派实在是毫无智商，文戏糟烂。

这就是典型的提出问题比解决问题更重要的纪录片。而影片的史料价值在国内更加凸显。海报的总结其实还不够到位，中国是既说不出，又看不见。但最终的结果看，蒙住了眼睛的情况下，美国人说话的能力反而成了掣肘之处。作者在最后在反思民主自由的时候更加表现出了对中国体制崛起的担忧。但没办法，“给你机会，你不中用啊”。
