Barry Adamson is an English pop and rock musician, composer, writer, photographer and filmmaker. He came to prominence in the late 1970s as a member of the post-punk band Magazine and went on to work with Visage, the Birthday Party, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and the electro musicians Pan Sonic.

The new album was produced by Thorburn and fellow Islands member Evan Gordon in less than two weeks, the 11 songs recorded live with hardly a single overdub. The new album offers all the shimmering sonic textures and irresistible melodies that have come to define Islands enduring appeal, but there is a deeply personal cathartic undercurrent to the songs. “The sound is really my interpretation of soul music,” Thorburn offers. “I mean, I’m a white kid from Canada so it’s gonna be very warped. But that’s where my head was at, that particular way of dealing with themes of pain and heartbreak.”
“This album is far more personal than any I’ve made before,” Thorburn explains. “I left New York after the end of a relationship and came to Los Angeles. There was a piano where I was staying and that’s where I wrote these songs. This record deals with loss, with memory and forgetting and with dreaming. I started writing it on Valentine’s Day and its coming out on Valentine’s Day.”

Throughout the 14 months of scattered recording sessions, Van Etten was without a home -- crashing with friends and storing her possessions between varied locations. The only constant in Van Etten's life during this time was spent in Aaron Dessner's garage studio.
Tramp contains as much striking rock (the precise venom of “Serpents,” the overwhelming power of “Ask”), as pious, minimal beauty (the earnest solemnity of “All I Can,” the breathtaking “Kevins,” “Joke or a Lie”); it can be as emotionally combative (“Give Out”) as it can sultry (“Magic Chords”). Contributions from Matt Barrick (Walkmen), Thomas Bartlett (Doveman), Zach Condon (Beirut), Jenn Wasner (Wye Oak), Julianna Barwick, and Dessner himself add a glowing sheen to the already substantial offering.

Le voyage dans la lune (English: A Trip to the Moon) is the sixth studio album by French electronic music duo Air, released on 6 February 2012 by Virgin Records.

The album is inspired by the 1902 silent science fiction film A Trip to the Moon (Le voyage dans la lune) by Georges Méliès and is intended to be a soundtrack to the restored version of the film. A free three-minute film excerpt featuring the song "Sonic Armada" was made available for one week in early December 2011 in conjunction with a pre-order offer. A limited edition of the album (70,000 copies worldwide) includes the CD and a DVD of the film. The digital version of the album, along with the newly restored and colourised 16-minute film, was released as a strictly limited edition.

For this album guitarist Patrick Riley, vocalist Aliana Moore and drummer James Barone headed to Nashville to work with The Black Keys' Patrick Carney.

The Cranberries 1990年代成立于爱尔兰利默里克，与U2、Sinead O’Connor（谢妮德-奥康娜）、Enya（恩雅）等一样，被誉为是带领爱尔兰音乐走向世界的重要力量。2001年乐队发行了《Wake Up and Smell the Coffee》之后就再也没有作品问世，此后乐队陷入沉寂。2003年，随着乐队成员们纷纷宣布“单飞”，乐队沉寂了六年。这期间，Dolores曾经发行过两张个人专辑。日前Dolores O´Riordan确认说，他们目前已经回到了录音室，正在录制新专辑。

最新专辑《Attack On Memory》由曾经为Nirvana、Pixies打造无数经典的制作／录音大师Steve Albini合作，依旧弥漫Lo-Fi精神的粗犷活力，力道却更加成熟饱满。专辑开场曲〈No Future／No Past〉以抑郁的旋律开场层层堆叠出澎湃激昂的前卫缓飙格局；长度接近9分钟的〈Wasted Days〉，在Dylan Baldi声嘶力竭的畅快怒吼之后，让人血脉贲张的噪音音墙直扑而来；〈Fall In〉短小精悍的Punk曲式，令人联想起早期的Green Day；〈Stay Useless〉一曲所散发出来的青春活力，足以让人勾起窝在沙发上看【瘪四与大头蛋】那款属于90年代的回忆。
