奇迹魔法瓶公司的创始人大屋敷严（中村敦夫 饰）在临终前对儿子大屋敷统一郎（藤木直人 饰）说：把公司交给金田一二三男（木村拓哉 饰），你不适合做社长。对此不服气的统一郎以泄露公司机密为由，把金田一排挤出了公司。之前好人缘，花钱很大气的金田一一夜间成了无工作，无住所，无存款的流浪汉。金田一的离职引起了上司模合部长（中井贵一 饰）和财务部会计二阶堂（香里奈 饰）的怀疑。不久后，二人也被各种理由踢出了奇迹魔法瓶。三个无处可归的人先后住进了穷人之家“幸福荘”。而金田一也在这之中了解到赚钱的辛苦和努力的乐趣，更发现了无法用金钱衡量的东西。
丧失了工作的三人得到了之前没有的干劲，他们能否干出自己的一番事业，对抗渐渐失掉本质的奇迹魔法瓶公司。
