现在中国各地城市中，自杀事件接连不断，群体事件连日发生，已经成为社会问题。原因是被称为影子银行的民营金融公司的破产，以及随之而生的市民挤兑风潮。
中国的大型商业银行，只向国营企业和大企业提供融资。为此，从五年前开始，在国家的鼓励之下，向制造业、建筑和不动产业实施融资的投资公社泛滥一时。而这些公司的本钱，是养老金生活者和商店店主等一般市民借给投资公司的生活资金。总额据说高达500兆円。
然而近来，受不动产价格持续下跌的影响，投资公司纷纷倒闭，成为攸关市民死活的问题。。
