@BananaSundae Yeah, I've been contemplating my relationship to my favorite (or former favorite) video games a lot in this last year or so. It can be hard to make sense of feelings, whether it's simply nostalgia or the game matching my taste that it tiself helped form, what exactly is good game design and how gameplay relates to other aspects of the game. It's fertile ground for introspection, more so than game analysis. I'll definitely give the idea of a new list more consideration, but I might end up just expanding the current list since a lot of the entries would be the same. Or maybe create a list of specifically the games that were rejected from the existing list on the basis of analysis. Will see.

@BananaSundae I'm really surprised at some choices here, as I never got the impression you loved some of these games so much when they came up in our past conversations. But this is also making me want to give a second chance to some games I, as you may know, intensely disliked on my previous attempts. Also, I love your approach of ignoring the objective quality of the game in favor of personal attachment. I often wonder if I should do the same with my list, where I kinda went for only the games that sastify both criteria.
