第二季的故事将从上一季最后一集的情节拉开帷幕。
警视厅搜查一科“特别犯罪对策室”被迫解散，室长大泽绘里子（天海佑希 饰）引咎辞职，准备从成田机场出发回去美国，可是就在机场等待时她接到了野立信次郎（竹野内丰 饰）的电话。警界高官黑原健蔵将成为反政府组织“黑月”的下一个狙击目标，而“黑月”重要成员高仓龙平在护送中逃脱。虽然绘里子和对策室各成员纷纷赶往现场，但黑原依然中弹，而犯人逃脱。身负重伤的黑原被迫辞职，为了承担责任，对策室再度解散，绘里子去了美国。两年后，当上参事官的野立以接手某个重要案件为契机，使得对策室再度复活。
木元真实（户田惠梨香 饰），片桐琢磨(玉山铁二 饰) ，花形一平(沟端淳平 饰) ， 山村启辅(温水洋一 饰) 和岩井善治(小林友治 饰) ，这一班乌合之众是否还能再次聚首，为绘里子和对策室效力？而野立这一次是否依然可以说服绘里子担任室长一职？

受野立信次郎（竹野内丰 饰）之托从国外回来的大泽绘里子（天海佑希 饰）成为警视厅搜查一课的特别犯罪对策组的boss，但编派到她手下的组员却形态各异，来自科学搜查研究所调来的嗜睡如命的木元真实（户田惠梨香 饰），从交通组调来的外冷内热刑警片桐，从派出所调来的活力小子花形一平 ，以及总是偷懒的来自反黑组的严井和人称“丢三落四先生”的山村巡查部长。
这样一班乌合之众放在一起，着实让大泽头痛，搜查一课对她的部门从没寄予厚望，只需要她应对媒体公关。但大泽却不愿成为被人摆布的木偶，面对这样一班下属与不断发生的案件，她将以身作则，让部下发挥个人特长破获案件。在另一面，八年前因为男人而离开警队的大泽，感情方面亦再次面临考验，这一次，她能否改变事业与感情的走向？
