via H。听的有声书。本以为是类似Inventing Anna的fake it till make it呼风唤雨故事，毕竟出门在外身份都是自己给的，能骗到多少钱都是本事。后来发现只是老英中产小孩假装俄罗斯寡头儿子满足虚荣心的小把戏，前后矛盾太多以至于同龄人都能拆穿。最幽默的是他差点骗到的那两个看似厉害的中年人，仨人不是一家人不进一家门都是bullshit artists来的。
后面又有点《混沌少年时》，互联网已前所未有地阻隔父母教育，并接替他们的角色塑造未成年人的观念。很难说这个畸形网络社会要为小孩的死负多少责。
其实起初对真实犯罪案件不感兴趣，但这本重点也不在此。专业调查记者组织信息和分析事件能力太出色了，写作本身精彩到完全熨平了我的大脑，不加思考只是觉得真好，肯定还会看他别的书。
