Modern-day France. One night, young Mimi helplessly watches her mother try to commit suicide. As the woman slowly recovers in hospital, Aunt Solange takes the little girl to her housing project. So as not to disturb things in the apartment, Solange puts Mimi in a corner near the door. But, from the first night on, the little girl's sleep is disturbed by the arrival of Solange's boyfriend, Jean-Pierre.

A round chamber in a park, where five women perform a ritual they know well. The queen gives her nectar. Yet a new cycle is already under way.

"De Natura" is an improvised poem, a peaceful and cheerful walk taken by two little girls in the middle of the nature, away from the eyes of grown-ups. But the joy gradually starts disappearing and the reverie becomes nostalgia, while at the edge of the road, among the rotting summer fruit, faint faces appear. The cycle of life does not diminish the magic of the world, no matter whether it is lit by the moon or by the sun.

Jeanne, a 15-year-old orphan, witnesses the shoot for a film adaptation of the fairy tale The Snow Queen, and she becomes fascinated by its star, Cristina, an actress who is just as mysterious and alluring as the Queen she is playing.
