Documentary broadcast for Channel 4
As part of our 30th Year Celebrations we'll be releasing some exclusive video and film footage from our archives! It feels only right though to kick us off with Matthew Bourne's Christmas, produced by Leopard Films for Channel 4.
The film features Town and Country and The Infernal Galop from Early Adventures, as well as snippets from Edward Scissorhands, Cinderella, Swan Lake, Nutcracker!

The action takes place in the 1960s over a period of nine months in a small Italian American community in the fictional mid-western town of Harmony, USA.[1] The following is an unofficial interpretation of The Car Man as Matthew Bourne does not believe in scenarios for his productions and prefers the audience to interpret the story for themselves.

In a castle high on a hill lives Edward; a boy created by an eccentric inventor. When his creator dies he is left alone and unfinished with only scissors for hands until a kindly townswoman invites him to live with her suburban family. Can Edward find his place in the well-meaning community which struggles to see past his curious appearance to the innocence and gentleness within?
