年轻的肥皂厂女工町子（倍赏千惠子 饰）与奶奶、父亲和两个弟弟住在东京下町，清贫的生活、叛逆的弟弟，让她不得不早早负起家庭的责任。町子与同一间工厂的职员道男（早川保 饰）爱情甜蜜，道男正在准备入职考试，成为正式工，他志在必得。像其他年轻女工一样，町子将步入结婚、辞工、搬家、生育、持家的小康生活，而正在她对这样平淡无奇的未来感到迟疑的时候，钢铁工人良介（胜吕誉 饰）的出现打乱了她的步调。日本战后社会的世态炎凉、下町的人情冷暖，都让町子陷入了深深的思索——对女性而言，幸福究竟是什么？

Upon receipt of a letter from Lily telling Tora that she would like to see him before she dies, Tora rushes to Okinawa, where Lily has fainted during one of her performances. Although five years has passed since they parted, the former couple continues to care about each other, and Tora nurses Lily to health. The personal favourite of Yamada Yoji , Tora-san's Tropical Fever was the only film re-released (with added scenes) by the director to commemorate Atsumi Kiyoshi after the superstar's death.

Tora-san returns to his family's home to attend an elementary school class reunion. After he embarrasses himself by getting drunk and insulting all his ex-classmates, he resumes his travels. In Kyushu he meets an outspoken 18-year-old girl who becomes enamored of Tora-san and follows him around. One of Tora-san's old friends is terminally ill and makes Tora-san promise him to marry his wife once he is gone.

When his travels bring him to Osaka, Tora-san falls in love with a local geisha. He helps her to track down her estranged brother, and informs his family that he plans to marry her. His plans are foiled when the geisha informs Tora-san that she is engaged.

Set in 19th Century Japan a young samurai who finds himself in love with a farm girl leaves his home to begin a new life. He has to take stock of his new life when he is put to the test and ordered to kill a traitor who just happens to be his dearest friend.

本剧讲述了母狮子将小狮子推入千寻山谷中，并且只抚养能从山谷中追上来的小狮子的真实故事。白毛母狮子与红毛小狮子的精彩表演将剧情推向高潮，狮子华丽的毛发也是一大看点。另外，由现实中的父子合作演绎这一点，既让人印象深刻，也令人备受感动。

Nobuko (Sayuri Yoshinaga) works in Nagasaki, Japan as a midwife. Her son died 3 years earlier from the atomic bomb. On August 9, 1948, her son appears in front of her again. Considered the best film in the series, Tora-san Meets the Songstress Again marked the second appearance of Asaoka Ruriko as Lily, the club singer whom Tora encountered in Tora-san's Forget Me Not. Love seems to have blossomed between Tora and the now-divorced Lily, but contrary to the beliefs of friends and family, marriage is not on the minds of the lovers.

《男人之苦》第16集，十七歲妙齡少女順子（櫻田淳子飾）找上門，聲稱寅次郎（渥美清飾）是她老豆！幸好寅剛回到柴又的家，得以澄清一切。原來十多年前在山形縣，寅飢寒交迫之際，受過少女母親阿雪的熱飯，一生難忘，自此每年寄錢給阿雪，誰知令順子誤會他就是生父。寅從順子口中得知阿雪去年過了身，傷心不已，遂獨自到山形縣掃墓。當寅得悉阿雪生前埋怨自己沒有學識，所以被男人所騙，一生受苦之後，他馬上立志求學，發奮圖強。回到老家寅記，剛好來了一個考古學研究生的租客禮子〔[木堅]山文枝飾），寅自然把握機會向美人求學。豈料禮子身邊有一個親密的大學教授（小林桂樹飾），他博學多才，狂野豪爽，且一直暗戀禮子……寅在情場再遇大敵。
The sixteenth instalment in the Tora-san series. The seventeen-year-old girl Junko (Sakurada Junko) comes to Tora-san"s house, claiming that Tora-san is her father! Fortunately, Tora-san arrives home and explains everything. Junko has mistaken him as her father because he has always sent money to Junko"s mother, thanking her for her hospitality when he was very desperate in Yamagata about ten years ago. When Junko tells him that her mother has passed away a year ago, he is crushed and determined to visit her mother"s grave... When Tora-san comes back, an archeology student Reiko (Kashiyama Fumie) comes to rent the place, and he takes this opportunity to pursue learning, and love. However, her teacher Keiji is also there, which makes it difficult for Tora-san.

亮（吉冈秀隆饰）与家里的父亲发生了冲突，离家旅行到一个小镇，遇到了一家影院的经理活男（西田敏行饰），并留了下来工作，在影院工作的还有放映师常先生（田中邦卫饰），并认识了开咖啡店的八重子（田中裕子饰）。活男一直喜欢八重子，可惜后来终未能如愿，八重子离开了小镇。

The Learning Circle, a film by Yamada Yoji and a follow-up to his 1993 hit A Class To Remember, is a moving story about the daily life of teachers and students at a high school for mentally-handicapped children. In this film, Yamada has depicted vividly and with genuine emotion the dreams and expectations he has for all schools and teacher: "Education is much more than merely minting students who are easy for schools and teachers to handle. A teacher's job is more than just teaching and guiding students, it is also to associate closely with them."

Set in Tokyo in 1940, the peaceful life of the Nogami Family suddenly changes when the father, Shigeru, is arrested and accused of being a Communist. His wife Kayo works frantically from morning to night to maintain the household and bring up her two daughters with the support of Shigeru's sister Hisako and Shigeru's ex-student Yamazaki, but her husband does not return.
