Jamie (Arron Fuller) is an 11-year-old boy who hero-worships his father Charlie (Robert Carlyle). Charlie is working undercover, living on his wits and on the edge, always on a mission and on the move. While this lifestyle may cause Charlie to be a little unpredictable and volatile, he is fiercely protective of his son. Jamie gets vicarious excitement from hearing his dad's stories and seeing him in action, but when a job that promises a big pay out and escape to America comes too close to home, both father and son have to confront the reality of the situation they find themselves in.
