本部动画短片用流畅而细腻的笔触，勾勒了一个在二维平面和三维立体间随意转换的奇妙空间。黑白小人穿梭在随手勾画出的平面正方形里，但是无论怎么描画都不满意。刚刚画出一部分，就很快被自己画出的正方形挡住。直到他无意间画出了三维立方体，但是他始终走不出二维平面的束缚。黑白小人反反复复的跟立方体博弈着，却最终还是回到了原点。
这部由法国鬼才导演Léonard Cohen执导完成的短片，荣获2011年昂西动画节最佳毕业作品奖。导演Léonard Cohen毕业于法国国家高等装饰艺术学院，从本片的影像风格中可见一斑。
