A very rare ATG distributed Wakamatsu, starring Ken Yoshizawa and Rie Yokoyama as two pieces of a destructive love-triangle. Has all the usual Wakamatsu themes of politics, suicide and twisted love, as well as stylish Hideo Ito cinematography and great use of the more or less single set (a beach with an abandoned boat on it). As there's not that much dialogue, it could make a fairly 'easy' translation project (hint hint)

女子大生のまあこはテレビで活躍する生活アドバイザーのママと二人暮らし。父親はまあこが生まれる前に事故死してしまい、まあこは父親を知らずに育ったのだ。ママは父親について何も教えてくれず、いつしかまあこは勝手に父親の像を作り上げ、父親の虚像を男性に求めるようになっていた。まあこには同じ大学のバーイフレンドのトオルがいたが彼の身勝手さに嫌気がさし、テレクラで知り合った政治活動かぶれの男や、行きずりの宗教活動をしている男など、次々と付き合ってはみるものの、まあこの欲求は満たされなかった。そんなある日、仲間と集まっては公園で騒いでいる浮浪者のリーダー・ゲンをはじめ、酔っ払って若いサラリーマンとケンカし、やられてもやられても立ち上がって闘おうとするうだつの上がらない中年男や、食堂でのんだくれてブツブツつぶやいてはからんでくる変なオヤジなど、世間のアウトローとして生きている中年男たちに、まあこはたまらないほどの魅力を感じるようになる。中でもゲンには尊敬の念まで抱くようになるが、ゲンは突然チンピラに襲われ、まあこの目の前で殺されてしまう。浮浪者たちの日雇い賃金をピンハネしていたヤクザ組織と争い続けた果てのことだった。まあこは、ゲンの故郷の海に遺骨を沈めるために新潟に向かった。そして灰色の海が見える海岸で、中年カメラマンのゴローと出会い、ゴローはまあこをモデルにシャッターを切る。まあこはゴローに幻の父親像を感じ、不思議な懐かしさにとらわれながら、ゴローと旅を共にする。数日後、東京に戻ったまあこのもとにゴローから小包みが届く。それはまあこの写真集だった。そして、それがきっかけとなってまあこは芸能界にスカウトされ、新しい道を歩んでいくのだった。

女子大生の泉まあこはそれぞれ父親の違う四人姉妹の三女。ママは三度結婚し、まあこを産む時にはロクさん、シンちゃん、梶さんという三人の男性と付き合っていたので本当の父親がわからないのだ。複雑な家庭環境に育ったまあこはママを理想として自由な恋愛を追い求めていく。ある日まあこは恋人のスズナリを家に連れてくるが、彼はシンちゃんの息子だった。近親相姦かもしれない危険な関係だか、スズナリはまあこの魅力から離れられない。しかし、まあこは独占されるのを嫌がった。まあこはロクに「おまえは本気で人に惚れたことがない」と言われ、次第に父親以上の愛情を感じてしまう。そしてロクとまあこはある晩ベッドを共にするが、それがスズナリの嫉妬を買った。公園でスズナリはロクに喧嘩を売るが、ロクは彼の若さに呆れ二人を残して去っていく。久しぶりにスズナリはまあこから電話をもらい会いにいくが、彼女は胸に赤ん坊を抱いていたのだった。

Gonnosuke's next target is a young maid, Yuki(Rie Nakano). Trying to escape from Gonnosuke, Yuki throws herself to a river. Two villagers, Tomekichi and Sutezo, rescue her. Sharing the same poor situation, Tomikich and Yuki, travel together, but Yuki gets caught and brought back to Gonnosuke. Gonnosuke hits her with a 6-feet long wood stick and kills her awfully. Tomekichi and Sutezo hear about Yuki's death and decide to avenge her.
Many torture scenes of killing women are so gruesome.
This sadistic and erotic film is from Koji Wakamatsu, an opinion leader of the adult movie industry in 60's and 70's, who created many sensational movies with anti-authority and anti-society messages.

The movie takes place in four periods: the first, a group of female Christians are raped and crucified in 18th century Japan. The second deals with a man who beats his cheating wife and her lover. The third, and the most interesting, is set in WW2 where inquisition soldiers torture, rape and abuse female traitors, and the fourth story deals with soldiers raping and abusing suspected female spies.
