美国艺术家安妮•盖（Ernie Gehr）自1967年起制作了24部16毫米实验电影，在《平静的速度》（Serene Velocity，1970年）一片中，她将摄影机对焦在一幢官方建筑的一条走廊，除了摄影机在嗡嗡声和每四分一秒间隔之间交替一下，整个画面在23
分钟内不动，由此产生走廊正摇晃的印象。

导演把一个室外的玻璃电梯变成了一个眩晕的运载工具。
