ABC宣布预订有限剧集《The Assets》，初步定于2014年播出。该剧根据中情局资深官员Sandra Grimes和Jeanne Vertefeuille共同创作的畅销书《Circle of Treason: A CIA Account of Traitor Aldrich Ames and the Men He Betrayed》改编，书中记录了她们在冷战期间追踪中情局叛变特工Aldrich Ames的真实故事。在Aldrich Ames秘密为前苏联政府服务期间，前苏联不仅得到了大量的敏感情报，还获悉至少10名为美国卖命的苏联特工的姓名，后来这些叛徒全都被处死。据称《The Assets》将以内部人士的眼光来剖析一个真实的中情局，还原这个被过分神化的组织的真相（特别是间谍在冷战期间的个人生活）。自从《美国谍梦》（The Americans）大获成功之后，今年不少新剧的创意都在向「冷战」靠拢，这个沉寂已久的题材重新活跃起来。ABC没有说明该剧的集数，不过既然是有限剧集，最多不会超过15集。

Anna is stuck: she's approaching 30, living like a hermit in her mum's garden shed and wondering why the suffragettes ever bothered.
