El joven Emilio Varela, El loco, quiere ganar dinero para casarse con su novia María y lleva noticias de la traficante y vedette, Camelia, quien aniquila a sus enemigos con metralleta, a don Carmelo, un competidor de ella. Pero como éste no deja a Emilio ingresar a su banda, él trata de entrar a la de Camelia dándole información de los otros. Gana su confianza y ella se enamora de él, lo hace su amante y su hombre de confianza. El antiguo guardaespaldas se encela y mata al único pariente de Emilio, su tío Eleazar. Emilio mata al guardaespaldas y piensa ir a México con María después de matar a todos los enemigos de Camelia y de entregar una gran carga de droga, pero al partir Camelia lo mata por celos.
