Most of his works depict a single, seemingly innocuous subject, often large-eyed children or stylised animals drawn with confident, cartoonish lines. The looks that characterise many of his child-like subjects are especially peculiar, appearing at once mischievous, irritated, or accusatory. Others simply seem benign, patiently waiting until the observer moves on to the next one.
