Aperture was founded by Ansel Adams, Dorothea Lange, Minor White and others in 1952 in San Francisco.
Its new space is 10,000-square-feet on two floors of an 1886 building in New York’s Upper West Side, at 380 Columbus Avenue and West 78th Street.
Their first exhibition, “Aperture Loves New York”, showcases images of the city by 24 photographers, including Robert Frank, Diane Arbus, and Nan Goldin.
