#FunADay #BirdADay Day 1
White-breasted Nuthatch at my feeder this morning.
A plump lil weirdo that is often found upside down, creepin along a tree in search of snacks. The White-breasted is larger than the Red-breasted Nuthatch and has just a slight black eyeliner wing vs the thick black line across the head/eye. Also the name gives away the color difference between the two. Both have very cute, similar sounds that require some practice to distinguish.

ok my #FunADay is to bird watch daily with a goal of observing 28 species this month, not the easiest task in the winter. I’ll share some highlights (but not a photographer so instead some favorite characteristics, etc).
