<div>I started to see the ending coming at a certain point, but this was still very good, and the short chapters made me want to read "just a bit more" every time. It's an interesting take on fame, true crime obsessions, and a little bit about money buying power and what that does to the people around them.</div>

<div>I liked this a lot, and I'm sure that if Colson Whitehead decides to write a third Ray Carney novel, I will read it.</div>
Rated Come Away 8/10
Good, with lots of wonderfully written passages, though some bits felt incomplete in a way I haven't yet been able to put my finger on. Review forthcoming.

A good conclusion to an erratic but fun storyline.

Rated Companion to an Untold Story 8/10
Not every writer would be able to pull off a book like this, and I don't know how much attention Aldrich has received for her effort — apart from winning the AWP Award for Creative Nonfiction — but I suspect that it isn't what it deserves. Yet, <i>Companion to an Untold Story</i> is not a project that set out wishing for accolades. (Let's be honest, writers, we won't turn down praising-recognition of our work.) Though I can only infer her intentions, it seems to me that Aldrich wanted this book to be the best way she could memorialize her friend, and in that, find some acceptance. That others may identify and find value in it, I imagine, is but a wonderful gift.<br><br>(My full review can be found at <a href="http://glorifiedloveletters.blogspot.com/2012/12/companion-to-untold-story-by-marcia.html">Glorified Love Letters</a>.)

Rated Doctor Who: At Childhood’s End 10/10
Wow, this was excellent! I picked the audiobook version, partially because the print edition isn't out in the US yet and partially because I liked that Sophie Aldred read it herself, and it was definitely worth it. Aldred does the different accents for everyone excellently, and the story itself is great. It follows up on Ace as an adult, and what it's like to go about your "regular" life, once one's time travelling with the Doctor is over. Plus, it's always fun to see newer Doctors interact with older companions. I definitely recommend this for any Doctor Who fan.
Rated Coping Skills: Tools & Techniques for Every Stressful Situation 6/10
While I appreciate a therapy-esque guide that is not afraid to swear, the editor side of me wants to say, "But surely repetitive words are still repetitive though?" Maybe in this book's original zine format, the superfluous use would have been just fine, but in this reading, I found myself thinking, "Yes, yes, you're not like OTHER therapists. You're the cool therapist. We get it." I know that makes me sound like a prude, sorry. However, this is still a bit like a very informative long tumblr post come to print. Which is great, if that's what you're looking for! There are still plenty of useful tips on how to get through anxiety/stress/etc-making situations, and some skills that I was previously unfamiliar with as a choice. So, it's certainly not a bad book, and it's a trim and easy read that most everyone could get something from. Your mileage may vary.

In the end, this series ended up being pretty enjoyable. Not one of my favorite Doctor Who universe[s] stories, but worth listening to via Spotify.
