It feels like it's time for a new #introduction

I'm Daniel! He / him.

I'm a husband and Master #Naturalist from Louisiana and living in northeast #Oregon.

I post about #birds, #birding, #insects, #NativePlants, #iNaturalist, and everything else that I find in our travels around this beautiful Earth of ours.

You can make a difference by adding your voice. The seeds you plant now determine your future. Your future projection is in your hands. Empathy, indifference, vague guilt or distant regret will not create the future you want. We must be as gardeners: we must take care of each being as if they were our only living child.

May all beings everywhere be free from suffering and the causes of suffering. May all beings everywhere be happy.

AI generated images/videos and music are thievery: taking what wasn't given.

We must reflect and practice restrain, do not consume them, and much less, spread them. We all should know this by now

Especially heartbreaking is to see monastics, Buddhist pages and YouTube channels, senior practitioners using them

2nd precept: undertake the training rule to abstain from taking what is not given

Time to refresh my #introduction as it's been a while since the first one!

See profile for some basics. These days I'm unemployed but gardening a bit, recovering from 37 years of industrial burnout, and surviving 6-7 years of bladder cancer.

Meeting that with all the wisdom I can find on #anatta, #nonduality, #nonself, #dzogchen, #bodhicitta, #bodhisattva, #buddhism :)

Used to be an #electronics #design #engineer and loved it.

We're better off together. Question those who would divide us.
