Winter In The Valley

A quiet winter hush settles over Yosemite Valley in this scene. Fresh snow softens every surface, turning the landscape into a world of muted whites and silvers. Clouds on fire.

Unfortunately, there's no way a photo can convey the atmosphere. If you squint your eyes, you can see the pillar of light rising from the sun. So pretty.

It was an absolutely perfect day for finding a spot to lie down in the grass and look up at the clouds. Because there in the sky, for brief moments, there were dragons and kittens, castles and schooners, flying horses and dancing trees.
