Will Mastodon, the platform that keeps the #Fediverse alive, miss a strategic opportunity to bring official institutions on board at scale?
By watching how #EuroSky is being marketed compared to #Mastodon, it certainly seems that way.
I wish the folks at Mastodon would invest in more professional marketing, similar to what we're seeing from its rival, Bluesky.
There was a major meeting in the EU Parliament focused on this topic, yet there was no announcement or microblog post from Mastodon. Zero engagement.

There are not many votes yet, but perhaps the view that the Fediverse is the only option is shared more by tech-savvy folks.

Shots were fired... in German, because when a mainstream TV station runs a 2 minute commercial for a teeny tiny dormant social network, which is a trojan horse for mandatory age verification, staying silent isn't an option.

If what attracts them to #WSocial is their 24k users, well, #Eurosky has the same but much much livelier activity.
So when is @tagesschau planning to cover Eurosky? Or - dare I say - the FEDIVERSE with its millions of accounts?

Eurosky launched https://portal.eurosky.tech today (oh the timing), and it's a neat little website.
A lot of the fediverse resource sites are comparatively more barebones and seemingly aimed at a more technical audience.
If you've been wondering about contributing somewhere, this could be an opportunity?
