spent the past day activating #appy support in #fedicat, still refining but I think it's working well, the platform definition file is pretty straightforward

I noticed #fedicat wasn’t highlighting lisp in #gotosocial code blocks but the textual rendering library has simple instructions for adding recognized code block info strings, in this case lisp, scheme, and clojure

updated #fedicat to not yet take advantage of but at least not break on a couple of recent platform features: #mitra has a new restricted access for feeds that allows only moderators to view them, and #neodb lets you search and follow people (actors, directors...), plus they have nice link previews now on posted updates

added #fedihood instance-hosted translation to #fedicat, behaves similar as #mastodon translation but with the option of selecting the source language if the post language setting is incorrect (common occurrence)
