adding an app setting #fedihood distance slider, matches the range on the web client

I added a note about LLM usage in the #FediHood README, and I also made things clearer in the contributing guide. Using an LLM is OK as long as a human reviews the code and fully understands what it does. No vibe-coding.
Being transparent matters on a project, to avoid disappointing people who contributed.
There are now more than 700 users on #FediHood, and I've added new topics.
You can tailor your timeline in three ways:
- The distance from your city
- The topics you want to see
- The languages
Topics are more powerful than hashtags (in the context of the project) because:
- They avoid typos
- They work whatever the language
- One mute covers everything, unlike hashtag variants
It also fully supports the #ActivityPub Events used by #Mobilizon.

I don't know if #FediHood will be adopted by the #Fediverse community, but I am still doing my best for it. Three new features have been added:
- Emoji reactions to messages (federated)
- Theme customization (with presets available)
- An option to automatically delete your own posts

I am really impressed by how many accounts were created in Germany on #FediHood.
#FediHood now supports #Lemmy through #ActivityPub. You can subscribe/unsubscribe from groups, read threaded discussions with their upvote scores, and reply or upvote yourself (through the fav button).
This is the first step: FediHood will also automatically split messages into city, region and country groups that everyone on the fediverse using groups will be able to interact with.
DNS4EU and Bitdefender removed https://fedihood.social from their blacklist.
It was listed since day one, when I got this fresh domain name.
It had a lot of bad consequences, especially with mail delivery.
It's over now, but this kind of problem always has a lot of inertia with services using third parties to check.

#FediHood now has a better composer. You can post three types: messages with topics, events and communities.

Concerning #FediHood, the most important part is done and it is stable enough. I am not good at promoting things, and I think I have talked about the project enough. I will let it live on its own for a few weeks now and tag the release as 1.0.0.

I swore not to speak about #FediHood any more, but what #Pixelfed is doing is great news for #ActivityPub.
Pixelfed already sends the location as a Place object with latitude and longitude, so FediHood can read it and put markers on a map.
Local timelines used to mean one instance. Now they can mean people actually around you.
I would like to share my experience of building #FediHood.
While I still think that building timelines around you is an interesting enhancement for the #Fediverse, I think I was wrong about the way I did it.
Many people are interested, but not enough to create another account just for that feature. They want it with their current account.
I am happy to see #Pixelfed implementing it, and that is the way it should be done.
