Yesterday, June 16th, there was a demonstration in front of the #EU embassy in Israel demanding that it pressures #israel to #FreeDrHussamAbuSafiya and close the torture camps.
Today – Palestinian prisonner day – I was at a joint Palestinian-Jewish #CombatantsForPeace vigil in #BeitJala.
Out of 9446 Palestinian captives, only 1357 are convicted prisoners. 3398 are awaiting trial, and 3449 are "administrative prisoners" (a concept that boils down to "we ain't tellin' why we took them").
79 are female, 350 are children.
All of them are subject to various degrees of torture, hunger, sexual attacks, and medical care denial.
