A tall granite tor of dark, weathered rock rises in twin fingerlike columns from open tundra, lit warmly from the side against a soft blue sky scattered with cloud. Behind and below it, forested ridgelines fade blue into the distance. Small spruce are spread across the mid-ground, and the foreground is a broad expanse of autumn tundra in gold, rust, and grass, with a vivid patch of deep red low plants near the bottom of the frame. This is the Asgard Tor in fall color along the Granite Tors Trail.
