Season 3 showed a surprisingly touching bond between Gwayne Hightower and Daeron Targaryen. Daeron seemed safer with his uncle, while Gwayne genuinely cared about him beyond Hightower politics. They reunite at Tumbleton, but after everything falls apart, Gwayne wakes up alone and Daeron’s fate remains uncertain.
