For those who want to use #Hollo on @ivory: #Ivory evolved from the Tweetbot codebase, which was a third-party Twitter client, so it assumes that object IDs are integers. Hollo uses UUIDs for object IDs, so it can't be used with Ivory at this time. We hope that Ivory will support non-integer object IDs in the future!

Is somebody else having problems with video playback in @ivory #ivory?

I have video playback when a video is embedded in a post in my timeline or list, but no sound. I click on the video to actually watch it, it opens in the “fullscreen mode”, is showing the controls but nothing happens. No matter if I press play, 10s forward or using the time slider the video does not play. 😔

Sometimes it working though. Is this some data streaming/latency issue and lack of user feedback?

Nearly one year after iOS 26 there is no Update of #Ivory @ivory available.
Know that there are reasons for this, but new information about the timeline would be nice.

I’m attempting to troubleshoot #Ivory when used with #snac2 where the app crashes when attempting to load in certain bits of data (seems like some hashtags perhaps, or the data the hashtags lead to). Ivory logs a crash mentioning something about “serverFilters” or “imageIndex”. Like when I try to view the StarTrek tag something it tries to pull in crashes the app hard.

Now I’m just trying to find a specific post that will do it so maybe I can actually figure out what exactly is going wrong.

I finally got #snac2 working with #Ivory and my this particular account. It’s strange, I think I’ve narrowed the crash down to an issue with the way ActivityPub relays work in snac2. If there is a single boosted post in my timeline when Ivory pulls the data, it crashes instantly.

Why does one Mastodon client (Woolly) show the 'following' of a specific account and the other (Ivory) doesn't?

This bug that I reported to @ivory over 2 years ago still has not been fixed. 🙁

Native Mastodon filters that I have setup are ignored when viewing my custom lists in the #Ivory app.

Today, I again confirmed this behavior in Ivory is different than in the web app and other client apps (i.e. confirmed that it is a bug specific to the Ivory app… that I reported 2+ years ago).

I’m curious if the quote boost mechanism in #ivory is a custom implementation before the official functionality was added? Been avoiding using it not knowing how it behaved relative to the official rollout in recent months at the protocol level. @ivory

There's something weird happening with either #Ivory or #Mastodon, where some posts show up as deleted when you view their details. Maybe a coincidence, but it's been happening _a lot_ today.

But But But !!!! I just realized #Ivory for iOS have been updated on my iPhone and now supports… markdown 🎉

Direct drag-and-drop from Apple Photos to #Ivory uploads a 768 × 1024 image to Mastodon.

Exporting the photo from Photos to Finder before dragging it into Ivory produces a 2494 × 3325 image.

Photo uploaded through Ivory’s built-in photo importer produces a 2494 × 3325 image.

Environment: #macOS27 beta, MacBook Air M1 on mastodon.social.

Any one have the issue ?

It's been a while since I try out ivory on snac2. It used to struggle with updates in a way that mona doesn’t, but plenty of updates on both sides since then.
