If you want historical accuracy in fiction—especially in the alternate reality genre—go watch documentaries or read an encylopedia.
kdrama
A respectable complaint and/or a true criticism of an alternate reality fiction revolves around internal consistency and plausibility.
Demanding historical accuracy in alternate reality fiction—or any fiction for that matter—defeats the purpose of #fiction.
I want to rewatch the classics #Kdrama like Jumong, Jewel in the Palace, Queen Seondeok, Dong Yi, Empress Ki, but they're too long!
60 minutes × 50–80 episodes. Jumong, the best one, totalled 81.
First, #Hollywood started rebooting successful franchises.
Next, the #gaming industry started doing Classic this and classic that.
Then, the #anime world got stuck in the dungeon.
Followed by the #Kdrama scene now dominated by #Webtoon adaptations.
Conclusion: Global writers drought.
Since November / December 2025, the prevailing theme in Kdramaland is law and the Korean social issues. This is one reason why #Kdrama is popular, they still produce and tackle real life issues which deeply resonates with the global audience too.
A hilarious part of #kdrama is how everyone loudly blurts out their secrets while people are standing around a corner eavesdropping. There's probably an internet analogy there.

To the Korean government & ministry,
You want to the world to embrace #Kculture #Kcontent #Kdrama #Kpop and so on but you are dismissing and ignoring the voices of the global community. That is not acceptable.
The American culture and the US Dollar are global hence everyone has something to say for and against them.
That is the price you pay when you go global. You cannot dismiss and ignore the voices of your global fans.
#PerfectCrown must stay!
#Korea right now:
Government: Let's make the world embrace #Kculture #Kcontent!
Koreans: Delete #PerfectCrown from existence!
Also Koreans: Only Korean voices matter.
World: You want us to embrace your culture and products but ignore our voices? You just want our money?
Western (AU, EU, NA) #Kdrama fans, in a certain Western-dominated site, are complaining about AI use in recent productions. However, if you visit Asian-dominated sites, practically no one is complaining.
West = utter disgust about AI
Asia = it's just a tool, how you use it is up to you
started watching A Shop for Killers Season 2
The first season felt intriguing and original, focused on its one premise. This one... not so much. Worth a watch but lower your expectations.

If you like #PerfectCrown and want to watch more "Unbroken Korea" with "Continuous Monarchy", here are three others in the same sub-genres.
1. King: Eternal Monarch (2020)
2. The Last Empress (2016)
3. Princess Hours (2006)

Did you know that #Kdrama always exaggerate school violence?
According to Program for International Student Assessment (PISA), and other official reports, only 10% or less Korean students experienced bullying.
In the #Philippines, 67% of Filipino students experienced bullying.

I'm usually not a fan of timejumps to make the story appear more interesting than it actually is, but that kind of editing works here (suck it, Nolan) It keeps you wondering what's going on without being annoying about it.
Add some cool characters and cool visuals and you have, you guessed it, a cool show.
I want to see an 8–12 episode multi-season series of the #Enderverse, starting from Ender's Game.
Or, start with the Formic Wars but let #Kdrama production companies produce it because they're good in focusing on human relationships and struggles.
Rated Spooky in Love 10/10
I have said this before and I will say it again, this is how K-dramas were a decade ago: focus on one genre. Over the last five or so years, we have witnessed how K-dramas become chaotic, even fans cannot agree on what the story was about. One of the basic rules of writing, especially in fiction, is to focus on one story and one genre. The moment the side plots or plot devices take on an equal status to the main plot, you get lost and drag your audience down with you. 《Spooky in Love》 focused on one genre: romantic-comedy, period. The result? They were able to execute some of the best scenes in global TV history. The side plot remained a plot device and did exactly the purpose it was meant for. I fully enjoyed this. Truly deserving of a 10 out of 10 from me, YourOnly.One.
Rated The Apartment Job 9/10
finished watching Salmokji: Whispering Water
Good atmosphere, which is crucial in a ghost story 👍, but I found the cryptic mindfucks more annoying than thought provoking 👎.
👍+👎 = meh.
