He knew, this could be the very last modification his engine needed to finally reach and even exceed light speed, by a good amount.
Now, he just needed to prepare the software defined radio to catch anything between 10kHz and 30MHz and record it as best as possible.
Who would have thought that missing to record a simple radio broadcast way back in the 1960ies could lead to such superb new technology.
The only thing he wasn't sure about was, if he wanted to to take a reel-to-reel tape machine with him or if a digital copy would suffice.
