Beneath a cloudless deep blue sky a small, tranquil stream meanders through a meadow of waist-high golden-brown grass with occasional strands of green grass and a few leafy shrubs. We are standing on the bank of the stream. Beyond the stream and the meadow is a forest of mostly spruce and fir with some northern hardwoods starting to turn reds, golds and oranges.
