A close-up photo of the trunk of a palm tree. The trunk has a very rough texture, looking almost like a craggy rock surface. Growing on the crags are various lichens, which give splashes of color on the brownish gray surface—golds, light blue-greens, rusts—a whole community of lichens. Framing the palm trunk on the left and right is a gorgeous blue sky.
