Atlassian decided to vomit AI all over Jira so I decided to mop it up with uBlock Origin. So far so good. One thing I haven't figured out yet is how to get it out of the context menus (right-click menus).

Edit: Thanks to @GeopJr for pointing this out: this AI assistant is a third-party project and not directly affiliated with the GNOME desktop. I was tripped up by the wording of the Phoronix post I shared, which could have made this point clearer. I'll leave the original post below for the sake of transparency and also in case it helps anyone else who was similarly confused.

I am very twitchy about what's happening with AI polluting every corner of Microsoft Windows and am worried the same will happen to at least some Linux distributions. I think the worry is warranted, but in this case I misfired--sorry about that.

I have a solid Kickstarter track record that can be verified. Three previous book Kickstarters, funded and fulfilled. Two of them on time, one two months late. My previous book Technofascism Survival Guide was a Kickstarter "Project We Love!"

My books are 100% human researched and human written, the pre-2020 way.

Recovering After Gen AI is based on my thesis that Gen AI will end because the datacentres are physically unsustainable according to my cited MIT, UN, and Harvard Science Review research. Plus the conundrum of model collapse, and the financial bubble.

In the wake of Gen AI ending will be millions of people with immense psychological and cognitive problems due to delegating their thinking to the technofascist slop bot, and becoming emotionally attached under the illusion of sentience.

There will be further accelerated climate disaster.

A possibly greatly damaged power grid.

Immense waste in the form of billions of dollars worth of abandoned datacentres.

And an unimaginable amount of tech debt into the form of most software having tons of the worst bugs ever, way worse than human coded bugs. Software people use everyday becoming completely unusable.

Later this month, I will appear on Blueprints of Disruption, Stupid Sexy Privacy, and Pivot to AI. Which should boost my reach further.
