Nuevo post, el más grande que he creado hasta ahora. Aprovechando el reciente lanzamiento de Fedora 44 y la puesta a punto de mi estudio con los Intel NUC, he preparado un tutorial paso a paso. Espero que sea útil.

SDDM, KDE Plasma, root-on-OpenZFS – simple. On Linux.
Yes, I'll install the theme snaps.
Will I install zectl – a ZFS boot environment manager for Linux? Maybe …

Local-first workshop at GUADEC is happening now! We're prototyping a migration app to transfer your files to a new device using the p2panda gobject bindings.
If you’re on Linux, there’s a good chance you use GNOME: it’s the default experience across Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora Workstation, Endless OS, and more. If you’re on another desktop, you still likely use components developed by GNOME contributors—or maybe you get apps from Flathub.
Want to become more than just a user? How about… a friend? 🥺 Become a Friend of GNOME to support GNOME, Flathub, and the work we do!
I just learned that COSMIC, product made by a company who refused to collaborate with others, now themes libadwaita apps by default?
So a company that:
- publicly harassed volunteers, and invited harassment on them,
- constantly insults the project run by volunteers for not bending to their (i.e. System76) way,
- lies in every possible occasion,
Just broke their promise to not make app developers' apps look like shit via theming. It's almost 2026 and distros still can't respect app developers.
Access Root Directory in the File Manager GNOME Files (Nautilus)
Improve your understanding of how to access the root directory using the graphical file manager application GNOME Files without the use of a terminal.

GNOME 50 in strings! It's around 8 thousand strings less than previous release, I assume we can thank x11 removal for this!
Non-systemd operating systems like the BSDs, Devuan, etc...
Do we think there will be some kind of work around in place for Gnome 50?
Has KDE articulated a plan either in favour or not for systemd-only in the future similarly to Gnome?
Xfce stated a direction?
I'm going to guess that Cosmic will always be only systemd.
