Stierengevecht in het Plaza de Toros México, in Mexico-Stad, Ed van der Elsken, 1960

#Mexico-Stad #EdvanderElsken #PlazadeTorosMéxico #fotografie #photography #EdVanDerElsken #EdvanderElsken

http://www.rijksmuseum.nl/en/collection/RP-F-2019-298-9-62

The image depicts a bustling bullfighting arena filled with spectators. In the center, several individuals are engaged in what appears to be a traditional event involving horses and possibly bulls, given the setting of a stadium known for such events like Plaza de Toros México. The crowd is dense and extends from near the bottom edge towards the top right corner of the frame, illustrating an atmosphere of high engagement among attendees. There's significant activity within the arena as well, with people participating in what could be part of bullfighting or a ceremonial display involving animals. Several individuals wear hats and casual clothing typical for outdoor events during that era.

The photograph is presented on a plain surface without any additional elements around it, focusing entirely on capturing this moment in time at the stadium. The grayscale tone gives an aged look to the image, possibly indicating its historical context or artistic choice by the photographer to evoke nostalgia. No text overlaying the picture provides further details about the event or location.

Short Walks. Lower Silvermine Wetlands, Cape Town. Considering that the biodiversity in the Fynbos here is greater than the Amazon Jungle, one finds LOTS of things to photograph. These berries look good but THINK they may be an invader species?

Good Morning.
This little girl was born in my little garden, she used to sleep right neat my stoop while her mom went grazing. She grew but got a nick in her one ear when still tiny. So I can now recognize her. She had a baby just next to my garden, and her baby did as she did.
