More from my bobcat trip last December. These cats roam over a massive territory of hills, scrub land, and fields. Finding them in all of that space was like a treasure hunt. Thankfully, our local spotter, Christian, had eagle eyes.

The building had been gutted by fire twice. Tonight the flame that flowed through it was golden #sunset. But before I could grasp the blaze, I was borne away with the wind's rush. So instead you get these lesser skyflames.

Portland, OR. There’s a sunset every day, for everyone, and anyone can see it just by going outside on a clear day and having a look. That means that while sunsets are beautiful, pictures of the sky are also largely worthless cause they can be had by anyone with a cellphone. Well, the sky did this. I had never seen these shenanigans before or after May 9, '26. (That’s right, I’ve sat on this for four months. Sorry.) I’ve only ever seen these skies glowing this pinkish orange, this sleepy evening pastel explosion, just quite like this, exactly once. I stood there for a long time until the hue shifted far enough and the light left. It was a good day. In particular, I enjoy the boundary framing from the tall building on the right.
