This image looks like a four-part photo collage with a caption which states "Bela Borsodi photograph; this is a single picture (not 4) made by rearranging things in his apartment".

It at first seems like 4 completely distinct square photos of various household items under different lighting, but closer inspection reveals that some objects span across multiple "sub-images," and their appearance contradicts the expected effects of varied lighting. The composition includes items like chairs, a mop & bucket, a coffee table, toolboxes, a desk lamp, books, bottles, cups, paper towels, and a boot in a wastebasket.

The upper-left and lower-right sections initially suggest scenes lit by natural light. The upper-right and lower-left sections give the impression of being shot in blue light. Details like the desk lamp's arm extending from the lower-right through the upper-right into the upper-left, and its base appearing in the lower-right while its assembly is in the upper-left, reveal the illusion. Similarly, the coffee table extends from the lower-right into the lower-left where its surface appears to have been painted blue, and the mop handle bridges the lower-left and upper-left. Objects such as the desk lamp and mop handle which remain the exact same color across frames, along with certain colored objects in the blue-toned frames, challenge color constancy and reveal the single-image nature of the artwork.
