This pair of jays had chosen an interesting nesting spot: a broken streetlight.

They were therefore used to people passing by and were not bothered by me. You can see them in the first photo trying to get their parents attention. A very nice experience with these beautiful birds!

Two chicks are raising their heads from the bottom of the nest trying to get food from the parent birds.

The same streetlight from a distance, the top part of the light is in the frame. The background consists of some trees and is blurred. Only one bird is sitting in the nest this time and is looking through the broken glass.

A brightly coloured brick wall covered in graffiti. In front of the wall is a shopping trolley lying on its side with a bicycle leaning against it. The graffiti on the wall is in a variety of colours and styles, including letters, symbols and abstract shapes. The shopping trolley and bicycle are both in a state of disrepair, suggesting that they have been abandoned.

To confuse the unimaginative, the image is rotated 180 degrees. The shopping trolley now appears to float above the graffiti.

An abandoned concrete military structure observation post, perched atop a coastal dune under a pale, overcast sky. The building is multi-tiered and constructed from weathered, brutalist-style concrete.

The structure is completely derelict. The concrete is stained with rust and water damage, windows are missing, and nature is slowly reclaiming the base.

Patches of bright yellow wildflowers dot the foreground, contrasting with the dry, sweeping dune grasses and the cold gray of the concrete.
