Photograph of a rural landscape in autumn, showing a verdant hill descending the image obliquely from right to left, with small touches of yellow and orange here and there, and a maple tree already very red, contrasting almost at the center. At the bottom of the hill, fields with a beautiful bare golden soil, ready to be sown, separated from another very green field completely at the bottom of the photo by a border of shrubs. The blue sky occupies the upper half of the photo, with the moon almost full and white, just above the green hill.

In the foreground, a black silhouette of a person and two dogs, on the reddish shore that occupies the entire lower left corner of the image.

Always a good idea

#Coffee #RicohGRIVMonochrome #BlackAndWhite #Photography

Black-and-white street photo of a dim storefront entrance with two people standing in shadow. A chalkboard sign on the left reads “COFFEE IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA” with a cup drawing, and the foreground shows a wet, stained sidewalk with metal grates and a white bollard on the right.

#SilentSunday #Rotterdam #photography

Black-and-white photograph taken in an industrial, former harbour area of Rotterdam. A large ship is moored by a pier. There are industrial buildings and containers near the pier and on the loading pier opposite. A barge is on the water heading in the direction of the sea. The skyline is filled with silhouettes of telecommunication poles, smokestacks, cranes and warehouses. The sun is lower on the horizon casting long shadows. Rotterdam, 25 September 2017.
