Time for a new avatar.

This one is from a large wall graffito in my home town of Wanganui (or Whanganui, but I'm old school when it comes to naming the city as opposed to the river and district) in New Zealand.

I don't know who painted it. Would happily credit them. I attach the whole graffito below; it may be found by looking NW in the 2020 Street View image at 39°56'03.2"S 175°03'18.8"E (first alley off Taupo Quay north of Victoria Avenue).

The Point Reyes Beached

The Pt Reyes has been one of my favorite photographic subjects ever since I discovered washed up on the shore of Tomales Bay many years ago.
I drove out to her a couple of weeks ago as there was talk of having her removed as she has now become a safety hazard.

🚢 All aboard the Fun Ship! TSS Duke of Lancaster, moored near Mostyn Docks in North Wales

The ship was installed here in 1979, and it was dubbed the "Fun Ship." This clever business venture allowed the owner to circumvent Sunday trading laws (as these didn't apply to ships). It closed in 2004.

In 2012 graffiti artists from Europe and the UK were commissioned to spray murals. In 2017 the ship was repainted black!
