This is a black and white street photo in landscape format of an Indian man crouching down beside his market stall which is stacked with neatly arranged vegetables. Saket, New Delhi. (2013).

To the right and below centre is our grocer. He is crouched down on the ground with his ams crossed against the winter's cold. The camera is located a few metres away, at the same level as the grocer and angled at the corner of his stall. He is wearing a knitted bobble hat, pulled down over his ears, a thick white long sleeved fleece, zipped up to his neck, light toned track suit bottoms and dark trainers. He is looking straight ahead and has a neatly trimmed short dark beard. Extending from the left edge of the photo, past our man to the right edge is his market stall. The front of the stall is between left edge and centre of the photo. The multitude of assorted vegetables are organised by variety and stacked about half a metre high, neatly, on a series of benches so they appear to be tiered, getting higher the further they are from the front. The benches have course sacking draped over the sides.

The endangered native ponies of Eriskay in the Outer Hebrides – a photo essay

'Fewer than 400 Eriskay ponies remain. One of the rarest native breeds in the world, their plight is unique because the community living on their tiny Hebridean island are fighting for them'

A close-up photograph of a heart-shaped, fiery red leaf backlit by soft autumn light. Delicate, dark branching veins spread outward from the stem across the crimson blade. Surrounding it are darker branches, twigs, and blurred golden and amber leaves against a pale, muted sky, creating a warm, glowing, and atmospheric mood.

1/5 Around #Malvern

Following from yesterday's snap, I'll have a week of further pix from a couple of days in Great Malvern in August. The Malvern Hills go straight up from the edge of the town. Here's a view from near the highest point. It should be greener!

#photography #landscapephotography

The image depicts a rolling landscape with golden-brown hills and patches of green vegetation. The terrain is dotted with clusters of trees and shrubs, creating a natural, earthy palette. In the distance, the horizon stretches out with layers of hills and open fields under a partly cloudy sky. The scene evokes a sense of tranquility and the beauty of rural nature.

Nice morning for a 40km ride down to Scheveningen & back to Katwjk through the dunes.

Oh, & there was the ESTEC Open Day yesterday which passed in such a rush, as I was moderating three sessions on the Space Rocks Uplink stage, that I didn’t even take any pictures.
