Two wooden shelves filled with various colored fired clay samples. The bottom shelf has little round "cookies" of clay in stacks and tiny pinch pots. The colors range from off white to orange to dark red and even dark purple. The top shelf is packed full of test tiles that have been brushed with different terra sigillata, showing various earth tones with cracked, shiny, satin and matte surfaces. The wall in the background is blue-green.

My two work tables are in the foreground showing pottery and supplies everywhere. A pedestal bowl stands on one of the tables and plastic buckets are crowded underneath. Behind the tables you can see my full-size electric kiln with a tall, unfired sculptural vase sitting on top.

I am in the background toward the center standing in the area where I prepare glazes and terra sigillata. My back is to the camera as I work at a metal table. Above me are shelves filled with glaze materials organized in buckets and mason jars full of various tones of terra sigillata. There is a work sink to my right. A colorful curtain to the far right hides our washer and dryer.

A blue 5 gallon bucket filled with reclaimed clay. These are clay scraps from trimming and carving that are soaking in water and will be dried on a plaster slab until it becomes a plastic consistency that I can rework into new pieces of pottery. The color of the clay is orange-brown. There are other plastsic buckets and plastic bags to the left and a concrete floor in the background.
