I was looking for a fightpad to play my first ever 6-button fighter, #PunchPlanet , and I settled for the 8BitDo M30. The Xbox edition, because that one inexplicably has the expected 4 shoulder buttons instead of just 2. People in various online locations have insisted this thing has the absolute best dpad in its entire price range, punching well above its weight. Well, now I have it, and... so far I really don't like it. 😕
It's WAY TOO slippery, I'm getting accidental TKs all over the place! There's basically no tactile feedback whatsoever. Also the right side feels stiffer than the left side, so it's not even a consistent level of slippery. Some of this is just me being more used to split dpads than round ones, but I've compared this thing to my partner's round dpad and theirs is SUPER tactile, nearly audible clicks even.
#FGC help me, is this thing supposed to feel like this? Is the advantage of this dpad just lost on a rookie, or is it as bad as it seems? Is mine perhaps defective? What I REALLLYYY wanted was a Padbox GS, but I can't afford it.
