Formed in '84 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, I've featured Zenevski Dekret's 1986 demo here. Their name is either a partial reference to the Geneva Convention or a mistranslation. Their more well-known material is 'Necu Da Budem Dio Jebene Mase' (I Won't Be Part of the fucking Masses), which reminds me a bit of Heresy's Never Healed. While I adore that record, ZD are a bit shit at their instruments , so I feel the very fast hardcore didn't suit them as well. Or perhaps their version of it didn't suit me? In any case, I was pleasantly surprised to hear this demo, as it's more a mix of Rudimentary Peni and Omega Tribe, with a Yugo rock flavour to it. Very cool demo that will forever be on my rotation.

TOUGH LIKE A WATER BUFFALO—DAKONG BUAK//BIG BREAK!! brings 49 minutes of raw punk, powerviolence, hardcore and screamo from Southeast Asia and the diaspora.
Don't think I ever shared this, but spacey post-punk black metal demo I did guitar and vocals for in my native language with my friend Ukeparaave. This was mostly improvised, so the lyrics are absolutely ridiculous for the most part. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMUvOH8RJG0&list=RDQMUvOH8RJG0&start_radio=1

I listened to a minute of the new ATG recrd after one of the new songs sounded like something on SOTS, and then just put this on instead

In good company with the CROSS and Pura Mania releases, Mirage put out their second LP with Roachleg last week. As electrifying and blisteringly fast as always, Mirage definitely wear their influences on their sleeves, as far as Italian hardcore goes, but there's more to their sound with every release, and this one is by far their most interesting work thus far. This wasn't a band I was blown away by at first, but the depth of their songwriting and the way they're able to put a record together is really impressive. I also like that they've incorporated more speed ups and slowdowns - it's a much groovier record than they've previously made. Also, you can have all the cool riffs, fills, and interesting influences, but the best hardcore LPs have a sound that evolves a little throughout and good pacing, rather than all the songs you have slapped together. I definitely get that from this record - this is not one to sleep on.
