Why?
Slothrust just released an EP, "Dystopian Cemetery," that is leading up to a new album that will be out September 18th. It's moody and angry indie rock with lyrics that give voice to the upsetting world we live in that is twisting us up.

Where to start?

I've found myself returning to the title track, "Dystopian Cemetary," a lot. It speaks to me about what it means to refuse to stop living in a world that is dying.

"00101001" is a song about an infectious oppression between people that has a bridge sung in binary that then breaks...sung by a non-binary person.

Because our fediverse friend @jepyang gave us permission to use their amazing music for our podcast, Another Girl's Treasure! Also, her stuff is definitely underappreciated and I would love to see more people give them a listen!

Where to start?

So we use the song "Edible Cartoons" from the album "Jagnype," and I would suggest giving the whole thing a listen because it's become part of my regular rotation for instrumental electronic music with the right kind weird in it.
