A kookaburra at my house whilst we were preparing a barbecue. We had raw sausages ready to cook. (We should know not to leave any meat unattended as Kookaburras have a keen eye and smell).
They also frequent nature reserves and wildlife parks when they smell a barbecue, and will often swoop down to steal raw or cooked sausages or any meat from a barbecue or even from the table where people are sitting! How dare they!
Most Aussies are aware of this and many have had some of their meat taken by Kookaburras, but we all love them, and their great laugh that they make.
